Connect your apps

Every tool that sends data to CloseYourIt, and what each one collects.

Each tool collects different things: the SDKs do not all do the same job. Pick from the table, then open the tool's page.

What each tool collects

  • Ruby / RailsErrors, logs, slow queries and methods, background jobs.ErrorsLogsSlowness
  • JavaScriptBrowser and Node, framework adapters and database queries from 0.13.0.ErrorsLogsSlownessVisits and replay
  • Dart / FlutterPublic errors, logs and metrics from 0.9.3.ErrorsLogs (partly)Slowness (partly)
  • PythonPre-alphaServer side. SQLAlchemy; Django query monitoring and FastAPI/Starlette from 0.4.0.ErrorsLogsSlowness (partly)
  • Sentry SDKCompatible errors; sessions and crashes require a verified profile.Errors
  • Server agentCPU, memory, disks, network, containers and services.ServersLogs (partly)
  • KubernetesComing soonMachines, apps and error events of the cluster.Servers
  • cyi CLIIt collects no data: it drives CloseYourIt from the terminal.Collects no data

Before you connect

Create a project in CloseYourIt, then an ingest token in its settings. As the address, use the one of your installation, for example https://bugs.example.com.

Every token has two credentials:

CredentialWhere it is usedIs it secret
token (cyi_…)server side only: Rails, Node, Pythonyes: ingest allows sending; reading requires the separate read scope
publicKeybrowsers and distributed appsno: sends supported public signals; cannot read or administer data

Frameworks and OpenTelemetry

Use the Nuxt client and server guide for its optional JavaScript adapters. For server traces and general metrics, see OpenTelemetry. These pages state the minimum version of each feature and what was tested.

New capabilities and other stacks

The table compares native SDK channels; it does not summarize sessions, symbols or all OTLP support. See frameworks and stack coverage to distinguish published packages, local integrations and unfinished work. Traces, measurements and sessions explains the new views and their prerequisites.
