Error management

Connect errors, slow queries and logs from the same request. Compatible profiles also expose traces, measurements and sessions. The guide states the SDKs, services to enable and limits.

Thousands of exceptions, one problem each

Equal occurrences become one group, with how often it happens and since when. Open one occurrence and you get the stacktrace, the request, the breadcrumbs and the user.

What is included
  • Resolve, ignore, reopen: and an automatic reopen when it comes back
  • Occurrence histograms and per-occurrence drill-down
  • Sentry profiles for errors and sessions; native crashes with compatible SDKs and processors
  • Promote an error to a ticket without losing the link between the two

Slow is a bug too

Slow queries and slow methods from real traffic are turned into verdicts you can act on: N+1, too many queries, slow request, slow external call, jank.

What is included
  • Duration charts per query and per method
  • Threshold alerts on the metrics you care about
  • Parameter capture is opt-in and scrubbed: off by default
  • Correlated to errors and logs of the same request via trace_id
  • OTLP traces with operation timing and explicit missing data
  • Typed measurements and per-series alerts; percentiles with uncertainty bounds

Errors, metrics and logs of one request share a trace_id. From an error you jump to what the app wrote in that same moment.

  • Typed OTLP logs through the optional receiver; error severity alone does not create an error report
